Bailey and Jacob’s wedding was a love story. Two people who knew each other since pre-school and were drawn to one another from the start. Their mothers even saw it, they would jokingly call each other “mother-in-law” because they could see that their young kids had a connection.
Bailey and Jake lost touch after 7 years old, but 10 years later Bailey’s mom, Rocky ran into Jake and his mom, Amy. Proud of her daughter, Rocky eagerly shared photos of Bailey and strongly suggested Jake might want to call her. Jake, the gentleman that he is, contacted Bailey through Facebook to subtly begin talking to her but Bailey didn’t even recognize the boy she knew all those years back.
Bailey eventually realized who he was and a date followed. They spent close to 4 hours talking over dinner. That instant connection was rekindled. They never looked back and that moment plus 9 years lead up to their wedding day.
As their photographer, I couldn’t wait for this day. I’ve know Bailey’s mom, Rocky for a long time and have always admired her. She was the friendliest, nicest person in high school with loads of style and personality. She is the exact same way today. I photographed Bailey’s senior portraits along with her brothers and I’ve photographed their family portraits. I’ve even photographed Bailey and Jake when they were at their prom and of course their gorgeous engagement session. This day was about two very special people and you could see every one in their room felt their magic.
