ELIZA AND MAGGIE’S TANGLEWOOD WEDDING

They both proposed to each other on the very same day! Eliza and Maggie’s non-competitive, equitable approach to proposing was simple: no plan (re: who would propose first), but on a trip to Asheville with friends, less than 24 hours before Eliza planned to pop the same question, Maggie beat her to the punch and dropped down on one knee on a breathtaking sunset hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway – the same mountain range where their first picture together had been taken, over 3 years prior. Later that night, Eliza proposed back on a hill under the stars, just two girls and their headlamps and a lot of happy tears.

EMILY AND ANDREJ’S CHESTERWOOD WEDDING

Emily and Andrej were dodging thunderstorms all day at their tented Chesterwood wedding, but not one bit of rain could put a damper on this celebration. In one evening they experienced a week’s worth of weather; rain, clouds, sunshine, fog, and even a rainbow. From start to finish I have enjoyed working with Emily and Andrej. They are fun, easy going, and best of all so in love. All day I just kept saying, “wow” to myself after I’d snap another amazing image of these two prancing around in the rain or holding each other under a rainbow.

BETH AND ZAK’S MONTAGUE RETREAT CENTER WEDDING

Beth and Zak met on a study abroad trip to Italy, but it was actually Beth’s twin sister, Kathy, who first met Zak. Zak and Kathy attended the same college and it wasn’t until a couple years later (in Italy) that Beth and Zak would connect. Beth and Zak, both teachers live in Eastern MA and they spend their time playing board games, hiking, or reading fantasy.

TALIA AND GREG’S WILLIAMS INN WEDDING

I have photographed so many couples, however Talia and Greg are the first bride and groom collegiate ice hockey players. During their ceremony, brother Grant (who officiated), awarded them the “winning puck”, it was absolutely adorable.

OSET & MICHAEL’S BLOOM MEADOWS WEDDING

When I first met Oset and Michael in New York City for their engagement shoot, Oset shared with me about her and Michael’s love of food. Oset is the Associate Culture Editor for Food and Wine Magazine. Their reception was so unique, and they turned the space at Bloom Meadows into their own with the help of their amazing vendors. The ceilings were draped with billowing fabric and the tables were set with floral garlands. It was no surprise that their dinner was full of little details like a carefully curated wine list, custom hot honeys from one of their favorite small makers, and the incredible pastry work from Meg Thompson.

CORINNE & JUSTIN’S BLANTYRE WEDDING

Corinne and Justin’s day was classically beautiful and their attention to detail was gorgeous. They thought of it all! A beaded purse passed down from generation to generation, a bible with lace from Corinne’s grandmother’s wedding dress, satin shoes for the groom, and a working vintage typewriter as the guestbook.

ALY & JOHN’S RAINY GEDNEY FARM WEDDING

I loved seeing John’s face lit up when he turned and first saw Aly. As we ventured out onto the grounds at Gedney, I couldn’t help but notice the way Aly looked at John. All the stress and nervous feelings that happen on the morning of your wedding seemed to disappear when she was alone with John. How special is that?

MERIDETH & TRAVIS’S WEDDING AT THE MOUNT

On the drive to the Mount, I couldn’t help but think about how perfect the day ahead was going to be. And it was! It was so easy and fun capturing Merideth and Travis in the amazing gardens at The Mount. One of Merideth’s favorite spots on the grounds was the forecourt. She looked absolutely stunning enjoying her specialty cocktail with her new husband after the ceremony. Not only were they able to enjoy their cocktail hour on the terrace, but a New Orleans style jazz band escorted them up the driveway for a tradition wedding second line.

MELANIE & CODY’S TANGLEWOOD WEDDING

AMY & PATRICK’S WEDDING AT THE MOUNT

The details of Amy and Patrick’s wedding were stunning and honored the mastermind of the venue, Edith Wharton. One of Amy’s favorite Covid purchases was an antique Corona (how appropriate a name) typewriter which she used to type Edith Wharton quotes for the cocktail tables. They purchased vintage Edith Wharton classic books to use as display (and read during the lead up) and Amy folded the pages of one into a heart shape. The favors/table assignments featured locally, hand poured soy candles from a female owned business with their favorite Edith quote. Their head table had two little dog candlesticks to honor Edith’s affinity for dogs and her beloved quote “My little dog— a heartbeat at my feet.”

ALLY & TYLER’S WINTER BLOOM MEADOWS WEDDING

Ally and Tyler were married at Bloom Meadows in the beginning of December and while there wasn’t much snow on the ground yet, the magical feeling of wintertime was there. In the silo suite there was a small stove lit and this made the space where the girls got ready feel so warm and inviting. The smoke from the fires of Crisp Catering crackled all afternoon as they prepared dinner. Bloom Meadows was also decorated for the season with wreaths on their doors and seasonal foliage in their window boxes.

JACKIE & NATHAN’S SEVEN HILLS WEDDING

While navigating a long distance relationship and extremely long work weeks, Nathan proposed to Jackie on the Cliff Walk in Newport, Rhode Island. In just six months they planned their beautiful Berkshire wedding that I was so lucky to be a part of. During the first look, Nathan couldn’t be more excited to see Jackie and it made their portraits so genuine and special.

REBECCA & DAN’S TANGLEWOOD WEDDING

While they waited the extra year to have the wedding they wanted, they spent time choreographing, taking dance classes, and perfecting their first dance. It was so creative and fun and I had so much fun capturing it. The party got even better when Dan and his talented friends joined the band to perform. Then for their afterparty Rebecca and Dan rented a piano from Tanglewood and Dan took requests for songs while people sang along.

KATHRYN & SEAN’S CRISSEY FARM WEDDING

There is no denying that Kathryn and Sean achieved the perfect fall wedding. Moody florals, peak foliage, and that end-of-summer pink hydrangea in their portraits. Sean and Kathryn’s first look at Crissey Farm was such a nice time for us to just concentrate on them – I loved every second.
