I am so fortunate to live, and work, amid the beauty of the Berkshires. We have so many beautiful places that are perfect for portraits and wedding.
Today, I wanted to feature one of my favorite venues, The Mount in Lenox, MA. The Mount was Edith Wharton’s home and has been meticulously maintained and preserved. I absolutely love this place! I’ll never get over how breathtaking this estate is, and I always get so excited when I get to return.
I’ve shot numerous weddings at the Mount, including Gabi & Seth’s wedding this past year. I was also featured on Buzzfeed with an image of The Mount in an article: “jaw-dropping venues for book lovers”
The truth is that it is absolutely gorgeous in any season, which is one of the reasons I love using it so much. It’s always got something gorgeous to offer, and the stunning visuals make any event perfect—especially weddings and engagement shoots.
Of course, such beauty comes with a price. Couples who have their photos taken onsite need to have a membership to the Mount. There are a few different membership options, so make sure to select the one that works best for you. For example, dual membership costs $130 ($98 is tax deductible); however there is also a new Fellow membership for $40 ($22 is tax deductible) for individuals under the age of 40. For more information and complete details of membership benefits, visit https://www.edithwharton.org/support/membership/
The good news is that the support the membership program gives is what allows the property to continue to be used as such a beautiful remembrance of Edith Wharton’s life.
