It rained on and off throughout Gosia and Nic’s wedding day, with a heavy downpour arriving just after their ceremony. But they didn’t let it take anything away from the celebration—instead, they embraced it, creating a day that felt heartfelt, emotional, and uniquely theirs.
After eight years together, the love between them was unmistakable. Nic joked during the ceremony that he had absorbed all the rain from the morning and now it was coming out in tears—a perfect mix of sincerity and humor that captured the tone of the day.
The Ruins at Sassafras was a stunning setting, even in the rain. Lush greenery, misty skies, and meaningful moments made it feel like a scene out of a romantic film. One of those moments came during the ceremony, when Gosia’s brother-in-law John shared a few heartfelt words about the many forms of love described in the Greek language—and how the couple embodied each one.
The reception began with a special Polish tradition: the welcoming of bread, salt, and a shot of vodka. One glass held vodka and the other water—whoever ended up with the vodka was said to “wear the pants” in the relationship. It was a fun and symbolic way to kick off an evening that celebrated love, family, and shared joy.
Gosia and Nic’s day was filled with connection, warmth, and the people who mattered most. From the deeply personal moments to the joyful traditions, every part of their celebration reflected the love they’ve built over the past eight years—and the community that surrounds them.
Congratulation Nic and Gosia- Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your intimate day!
❤️ Lisa
