My job as a photographer allows me to meet extraordinary people. I’m continually humbled by their trust in me to document the important events in their life. Driving away from my photo session earlier this year with Allison Pataki I felt fortunate to have made a connection with such a strong young woman who is cultivating her own career path as an author.
Allison is the daughter of former New York State Governor George E. Pataki, and I met her at the Pataki Family home in Hudson Valley, where Allison grew up, so we could take some photos to be used for promotion of her new book.
The Traitor’s Wife: A Novel of Benedict Arnold and the Plan to Betray America is based on the rich history of the Revolutionary War. The Traitor’s Wife is set to be released in February and can be preordered here.
Allison is using some of the shots we captured during our session on her website and her Facebookpage. It will also be the photograph featured on the book flap which I cannot wait to see! Allison is so talented and I would encourage anyone to keep their eye on her as it’s no doubt she and her work will be a huge success. In fact, I’ve already pre-ordered the book and I’m going to read it this winter during the quiet season for a photographer like me.
I hope you’ll enjoy seeing a few pictures from our session together. Thank you again Allison for the opportunity and to my friend Kim Cappelleri for bringing the two of us together.
XO
Tricia
