True love is alive and well as witnessed this past Sunday at Briana and Gabe’s Gedney Farm wedding. This was my first time meeting them but instantly I saw the closeness they shared with their families and the warmth of their personalities. Lisa felt it immediately too as she photographed Gabe and his family. Soon after, Lisa and I set up their first look and we both giggled behind our cameras as they held on to each other closely, excited to see each other again. They laughed when they shared with us that even the separation from this morning to the present moment had felt too long. Briana and Gabe made us smile all day and even cry at times when we witnessed the tender moments they shared together and with their loved ones.
Gedney Farm was the perfect backdrop to this day – I love all the charming and rustic views we are able to capture in photographs. Briana’s dress and the bright bouquet of flowers felt like the perfect choice for this natural setting.
I have to mention that what struck me the most was their ceremony. The groom’s mother, Sonia, is also a Rabbi, and officiated the Ketubah signing and the ceremony. It was so rich in Jewish tradition and really highlighted the importance of siblings, both of their parents and grandparents in their lives. I was so touched that I had the privilege to witness all of it up close. I am hopeful the photographs will share some of the sentiment and joy all of us felt celebrating this amazing couple.
Congratulations Briana and Gabe!
