This past Sunday, we had the immense honor of capturing the beautiful wedding of Maggie and Tripp at Tanglewood, Lenox. Their day begins with deep roots at this venue that is loved by all of us here in the Berkshires. Maggie’s great grandmother Daphne, whom Maggie knew and loved until Daphne died when Maggie was 25 spent all her childhood summers at Tanglewood. Maggie’s great, great grandmother Rosamound was married 111 years ago where Maggie and Tripp tied the knot. The iconic Tappan House which sits between the Koussevitzky Music Shed and the Whispering Bench was donated by Daphne to the BSO for all of us to enjoy today.
I asked Maggie and Tripp a few questions that would share a glimpse of their day:
Maggie and Tripp’s Favorite Moment: The couple had a magical first look, the rain gave them a break enough to see each other with the backdrop of the Berkshire Mountains in peak fall season.
Their Wedding Day Vibe: “Full of love, family, and lots of dancing!”
Maggie and Tripp’s Advice for Future Couples: “Take a moment to soak in the details you worked hard on—it goes by so fast”
I will never look at the Tappan House again without thinking of its rich and beloved family history. Maggie and Tripp – thank you for allowing us to capture the first day of your own family’s story. We loved every minute spent with you. Here’s a few sneak peeks and more gorgeous photos to come!
