As wedding photographers, we get to see a lot of beautiful things—but some of our absolute favorite moments? They’re the ones with moms.

There’s just something about the way a mom looks at her child on their wedding day. Whether it’s helping with the dress, straightening a tie, holding back tears during the ceremony, or totally letting loose on the dance floor—we’ve seen it all, and we love it all.

But here’s the thing: moms are often so focused on making sure everything is perfect, they sometimes slip into the background. And we want the exact opposite for them. Moms deserve to be seen, celebrated, and captured beautifully on this day too.

So if you’re planning your wedding, make space for your mom in the photos. Let her in the getting-ready room, let us get a few quiet shots of the two of you, or plan for a first look with her. These little moments? They end up meaning the world.
