When Suzanne Werner and her husband Robert found a peaceful 80-acre farm along the Green River in Hillsdale, NY, she knew she had discovered something special. With a lifelong love for knitting and a dream of working with fiber straight from the land, Suzanne brought Green River Hollow Farm to life – home to alpacas, a llama, Icelandic horses, chickens, and more. That passion grew into Fluff Alpaca, a thoughtfully curated shop in downtown Great Barrington offering cozy, high-quality alpaca goods.
From their own herd’s fleece to artisan-crafted pieces from Peru and Bolivia, everything in the store is selected with care. Many items, like socks, scarves, and baby booties are knit by local makers.
I have had the opportunity to work with Suzanne and her team on multiple photo shoot days, photographing both the farm and the storefront to reflect the warmth, texture, and care that define Fluff Alpaca.
“We have worked multiple times with Tricia and each time has been fun and exciting with the most stunning results for our business.”
Suzanne explained that their busy Great Barrington store and active online business needed beautiful, professional photos to elevate their marketing especially in local print, digital media, and summer advertising on the Tanglewood screens. “We’ve especially noticed positive results from the Tanglewood screen ads as thousands of people see them weekly and we get so many compliments when people come into the shop.” When asked if investing in professional photography was worth it, Suzanne didn’t hesitate: “It has paid off again and again—in print, online, and even in theater programs.”
