Ten years ago, I photographed Katie and Mike’s wedding at Cranwell Resort in Lenox. So when Katie reached out about a family session while they were visiting the Berkshires for their anniversary, I was thrilled to reconnect and even more excited when I learned they’d be bringing their two boys, Bennett and Will, and their sweet dog Bernie.
We started the session at Gould Meadows, one of my favorite hidden gems in Lenox. The boys were full of energy, running through the grass, laughing with their parents, and completely in their element. Katie told me this season of life feels like “full swing”, busy days, growing kids, and time flying by. “It’s everything we ever wanted,” she said.
After Gould Meadows, we made our way to Miraval Berkshires (formerly Cranwell), the very place where Katie and Mike said “I do.” Returning there with their kids was such a meaningful full-circle moment. The boys thought it was so cool to see where their parents got married, and I loved seeing Katie and Mike take it all in, surrounded by the joy (and energy!) of the family they’ve built over the last ten years
One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to watch stories unfold over time. Being invited back ten years later to capture a new chapter in the same beautiful place is a privilege I don’t take for granted.
Katie, Mike, Bennett, Will, and Bernie, thank you for spending the afternoon with me. You brought such joy to the Berkshires, and I hope these photos bring you right back to this sweet moment in time.
