Samantha and Jesse, two medical professionals who dedicate their lives to caring for others, are some of the most giving people you could ever meet. That’s why photographing their intimate wedding was such an honor.

This wedding was really special for me. I’ve had the privilege of photographing the Brown family before, most memorably when Sam’s sister, Abby graduated from high school and we did a fun, sister photo session. I loved it!  Also, my husband, Tom, was both Sam and Jesse’s teacher – so you could say we’re true fans of this family. To be invited into such important milestones feels like a gift, and I never, ever take that trust lightly.

Their ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church in their hometown of Lee, MA. It was intimate, heartfelt, and filled with the kind of joy that only comes from marrying your best friend and being surrounded by your closest loved ones. Afterward, they celebrated simply and beautifully with family and a few dear friends with pizza, champagne and lots of laughs. The next day, the celebration expanded at their friends, the Commali’s home, where their wider circle gathered to cheer them on.

Being there for Sam and Jesse reminded me why I love what I do. I felt invited into the most important day of their lives and it meant so much.
