When Laura reached out to plan a family session during their fall visit to the Berkshires, she shared that it would be one of the rare times their whole family would be together. With family spread across the Northeast and Midwest, and grandparents Pam and Joe spending winters in Florida, it isn’t often that everyone is in one place. I was so excited to capture the Castrale family while they were all together, and Tanglewood made the perfect backdrop, with space for the kids to run and explore, and beautiful Berkshire scenery to bring everyone together.

This session had everything I love about multigenerational portraits: laughter, connection, and that joyful kind of chaos that only comes with little kids. Laura described this season as “a lot of noise and chaos anytime we get together, but also fun watching the little kids learn and play together.” When she reflected on what she hopes to remember most from these photos, she shared, “the fun and bonding time we had during our long weekend in the Berkshires, and the love we share in this season of life.”
Watching the cousins giggle and the grandparents surrounded by their grandkids was heartwarming. I hope to see the Castrale family again the next time they are all together in the Berkshires.
