When Jessica and Corey wrote to tell me about their wedding. Jess said, “we like to have FUN and LAUGH! We speak our own language of inside jokes. We want our wedding pictures to reflect our love for each other, our dog Rao (who we love more than anything), and our life that we have together.” After hearing that I was HOOKED on these two.

When we met for our engagement pictures they asked if we could meet at the Bistro Box, their favorite Berkshire eatery because they shared a true love of delicious food. Our session was full of non stop giggling and joking and now I was HEAD OVER HEELS for these two!

This October, they celebrated their wedding day. Every aspect reflected personality and FUN. Hancock Shaker Village is absolutely spectacular in the fall season and together with Jessica’s mom Wendy, this couple designed a wedding that was uniquely theirs.

The tented reception had cozy mix of couches and chairs decorated with “J” and “C” pillows and framed pictures of Jess and Corey throughout their 6 year relationship.  Everyone had the chance to mingle, eat from food stations when they felt hungry and then dance the night away.

When I reflect about one of my favorite times of the day it was when Lisa and I had Jessica and Corey all to ourselves! They didn’t want to miss much of their party so it was a bit shorter than typical portraits but it was so full of energy and laughter for all of us. At one point, the sun was setting to create this incredible scene in the sky and Jess and Corey were singing the “Sound of Music” as they skipped through the fields – we just kept snapping away!

When the world can seem so heavy and serious at times, I feel lucky to have met Jessica and Corey this year. Their wedding reflected what they value, who they love and how they live their life.

Congratulations to you my friends. Can I have date #2 with you at the Bistro Box this spring?

xoxo
