I remember my senior year of high school so well! It’s a really special time in life, full of mostly wonderful but partly scary moments as you prepare to for other ventures. I love photographing high school seniors as they enjoy this last year at home and capture them during this important milestone.

As a parent, I can better understand what it must feel like to prepare your child for this time in their life. That’s why I make it a point to include the parents in the session even if for only a few images. It becomes a cherished memory for everyone and most likely, a professional picture of you with your teen is rare, so why not?

Before the session, I connect with the student to discuss what we can do to make photograhs that include specific elements that show off their personality. I want the images to be special and unique to them. These elements can be the location we choose, what to wear or even incorporating things that are important right now in their life.

I truly love getting the chance to meet and spend some time with these accomplished young adults. The deadline for yearbook submittal tends to be October. Trust me, you’ll feel much more relaxed if you don’t wait until the last minute!
