Photographing Autumn and Cal’s wedding at The Lake House Cottages was so much fun. The views of Pontoosuc Lake made for an incredible backdrop, and the entire day felt like a big, heartfelt celebration. Kalei assisted me throughout the day, and we both kept saying how wild the weather was—sunny one moment, raining the next, and sometimes both at once.

Somehow, the rain held off just long enough for the ceremony. As soon as everyone made their way back up the aisle, the skies opened up again. It could not have been timed better. During her speech, Autumn’s mom shared that she felt her own mother, Autumn’s grandmother, had a hand in the weather that day, sending a little sunshine exactly when it was needed. The lighting was magical, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed and full of love.

From the beginning, it was so clear how close Autumn and Cal are with their people. Their friends and family brought such a fun, supportive energy to every part of the day. There were even two brand new babies at the wedding, including Cal’s brother’s three-week-old daughter. That kind of love and dedication says everything about the kind of family they have. Whether it was getting ready, dancing, or celebrating during portraits, the vibe was always upbeat and full of laughter.

A fun surprise toward the end of the night, Ben and Jerry’s came to scoop ice cream for dessert. It was such a playful and memorable detail, and guests loved lining up for their favorite flavors. It fit the relaxed, happy atmosphere of the day perfectly.

One moment that really stayed with me was when Autumn included the verse “Love is patient, love is kind” from 1 Corinthians in her vows. That message felt especially fitting, not just for their relationship, but for the way they embraced the day with calm, grace, and warmth, no matter what surprises the weather brought. It was a perfect reflection of who they are together.

Thank you, Autumn and Cal, for having me. I loved being part of this beautiful wedding and cannot wait for you to scroll through some of the highlights below.

❤️ Lisa
