One of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer is learning about how people began their story as a couple. For some it’s been through work, or college, maybe a mutual friend and even through dating online. There have been the unique few who started dating in high school, as is true for Christina and Dan. These two had their first date on St. Patricks day in 2007 and have been together all 11 years since.
This day was sweetness and sophistication all in one. The personal touches of style had me and my team oohing and aahing all throughout the day. I loved the glamour of pretty touches of blush in the details, black bridesmaids dresses, white flowers with green ferns and candlelit long tables in the Franklin Plaza ballroom.
I had met Christina and Dan in Troy a year before their wedding and they came to visit me in Lenox this winter so it was like seeing old friends when I saw them again. One of my favorite moments was stealing them away to the rooftop as the sun went down. We captured one of the most spectacular sunsets I’ve ever seen and definitely ever photographed. It was a magical moment.
I can’t wait to share these highlights with Christina and Dan. Your day made me happy – thank you for treating me with so much kindness and for the honor of capturing your day.
