Hayley and Sam were married at The Williams Inn in Williamstown on a beautiful late summer day. Their celebration was elegant and thoughtful, with an incredible white floral chuppah, soft greens and neutrals, and so many beautiful details throughout the day.
Their Jewish ceremony was one of my favorite parts of the wedding to photograph. Hayley walked down the aisle with her parents as Sam waited for her beneath the chuppah, surrounded by their family and friends. I loved photographing not only the traditions of the ceremony, but also the people watching them. Their parents’ expressions, the reactions of their friends and family, and all of those moments happening around Hayley and Sam made the ceremony feel especially meaningful.
Afterward, Hayley changed into a short white dress, and we slipped away for a few more portraits around the grounds before everyone gathered inside for dinner. The evening continued with heartfelt speeches, lots of laughter and a dance floor that filled quickly.
When I look through Hayley and Sam’s photographs, what I love most is everything happening beyond the two of them. Parents watching, friends reacting, people reaching for one another and all of those smaller moments unfolding around the main event. Those are the photographs I find myself drawn to again and again because they tell so much of the story of a wedding day.
Hayley and Sam, thank you for trusting us to document this beautiful day for you. Congratulations!
