I traveled to Brooklyn Heights last month to meet up with Jillian and Scott. This is their neighborhood and they love living there, so it was the perfect place for their engagement session.
I love traveling to the city for engagement sessions and it seems that I do so this time every year, as I did with Heather & Michael and Rachel & Brian.
I love getting to know my clients through an engagement session and it was fun to hear how Jillian and Scott met on Scott’s 27th birthday, out on Fire Island. Their mutual friend had a beach house and once they spent some time together, it was an instant connection and they’ve been together ever since.
Our session was spent walking through the neighborhood streets to the Brooklyn Bridge, stopping at interesting spots along the way. It was fast paced and energetic. Jillian and Scott are fun and easy going people so it wasn’t hard to make them relax and just enjoy the experience of the session. They look great in front of the camera and it’s so obvious how much they adore one another!
One of my favorite shots is the two of them hugging standing on the steps in order to make up for the height difference. So cute! I can’t wait for their wedding day at Gedney Farm. One of my favorite places to photograph weddings in the Berkshires!
