It’s engagement season! It’s true that more people get engaged between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day than any other time during the year. So it’s a great time to share the engagement sessions I had with my 2014 wedding couples during recent months.

Kaitlyn & Billy’s engagement session in late September brings back great memories for me. It was such a beautiful fall day! Kaitlyn and Billy traveled up from Stamford, CT to Lenox to work on some of their wedding plans as well as our session. They have chosen Berkshire County as their place to get married since it’s a gorgeous location but also because it has meaning to them. Kaitlyn has family that lives locally and the church that they will marry in, St. Mary’s Church, was where her parents and grandparents were married. It was also the church where she was baptized and made her first communion.

My good friend, Tammy Burke, first told Kaitlyn and Billy about using me as thier photographer and when Kaitlyn told me that, I knew I wanted to work with them. Anyone who is a friend of Tammy’s is an instant friend of mine! They chose Berkshire Hills Country Club for their reception and the event organizer at the Country Club is one of my past brides. Lisa Puleri reiterated that I’d be a great fit to capture their day. After hearing such nice things about them, it was so great to finally meet for this session. 

I love that we were able to capture the beauty of an autumn day in Berkshire County for Kaitlyn and Billy. It was a different look than their wedding pictures will be as they are getting married in the spring.
