It’s no wonder Kara and Nick chose the beautiful venue of Bloom Meadows for their big day. They share a love of being outdoors together, hiking and running and so walking around the grounds through the acres of lawn and paths through the woods to capture photos of them felt very natural. The Berkshire mountains viewed in the background of their ceremony and cocktail hour are not only beautiful but also nostalgic to how Kara and Nick’s love story began nearby at Williams College.
I’ve said it before, speeches are my favorite part of a wedding. I love finding out more about a couple and their ties to family and deep connections with friends. The words expressed for Kara and Nick made me laugh, smile and tear up. Kara’s dad and sister spoke as well as Nick’s mom and brother and they shared the close bonds they share but also revealed attributes and achievements each of them has made personally and as a couple. I told Lisa (my photography Associate) and Jon ( their awesome wedding videographer) that Kara and Nick made me want to be better and to reach further. I was inspired by how they have accomplished so much but have so much humility. It’s awesome to see how Kara and Nick support each other fully in everything they do. I really believe this is key in a wonderful marriage.
Congratulations Kara and Nick! We were so thrilled to be there to capture this day.
