Rain drops softly bounced off the shoulder of John’s jacket as he read from the sheet of paper with smudged vows. Pam and John never lost eye contact. I kept my camera focused on Pam as she brushed a tear away from her eyes. The rain came down a little harder now but they didn’t notice and neither did their guests. This was their moment and we were all lost in it. Tears and then laughter escaped from the crowd who gathered to watch them marry in front of the Hancock Shaker Village Barn under the arbor that John had built.
It occured to me as I was capturing their ceremony, that rain is something that many wedding couples fear on their day and yet, here we were and this was one of the most romantic and moving ceremonies I had yet experienced.
Pam & John – your wedding filled me with so much joy. I am grateful you contacted me to capture your engagement session at a family home that holds wonderful memories and then to be there on your perfect wedding day highlighted here.
Congratulations to you both!!
