What an honor to take my Associate Lisa’s engagement shoot last year as they anticipated their June 2022 wedding. I have to admit I was a little nervous taking their photos because Lisa is an expert at reading my body language and facial expressions after working together for 10 years. I joked with her, if the shoot isn’t going the way I want it to – you’re going to know instantly. But instead, it was pure magic. Lisa and Mike are so wonderful together and we had a beautiful evening at Chesterwood as the sun went down. I’m excited to share these photos with you but before I do I thought I’d share a few fun facts about them and about the wedding just 3 months away.
-Lisa and Mike are getting married at The Williams Inn, a newer venue built in the Berkshires, and I have yet to photograph.
-Lisa’s engagement ring belonged to her grandmother. Her grandparents were married for more than 65 years.
-I will be the photographer for getting ready, first look and portraits, and the ceremony. Then I am putting my camera down and I grabbing a glass of champagne. Our friend and fellow photographer Elaina Mortali will take over from cocktail hour through the reception.
-Lisa and Mike were set up by Christina Mills who worked for Tricia McCormack Photography and her husband, Chris who worked with Mike.
– The vendors for their wedding are all personal friends Lisa has met through being in the wedding industry for 12 years.
