There’s something truly magical about the holidays—warmth and joy that seems to wrap around you like a cozy blanket. As a photographer, I get the privilege of capturing these special moments, but this year’s session with the Zelenovic family was particularly heartwarming and memorable. They decided to add an extra touch of magic by including their extended family in their holiday photos, and let me tell you, it was the perfect decision.

The grandparent’s presence was a beautiful reminder of how important extended family is during the holidays. One of the things I love most about extended family sessions is that they offer a chance to capture the entire family dynamic. 

In an age where digital snapshots often replace traditional family portraits, it’s these extended sessions that remind us of the importance of slowing down and truly appreciating our loved ones. The Zelenovic family’s choice to include grandparents, siblings and cousins in the holiday photos was a testament to their appreciation of family bonds, and it was an honor to capture that love and connection through my lens.
