I love hearing the ties that my clients have to the Berkshires. The majority of the wedding couples I photograph have a sentimental connection to this area and Jessie and Jake were no exception. Jake has found memories of Camp Becket where he spent many summers as a camper, counselor and leader. Their sweet camp wedding had it all: a lake, rustic buildings, loads of family and friends and their black lab named Russell. The night before they enjoyed an outdoor rehearsal which included a spectacular sunset but their actual wedding day called for chilly temperatures and rain throughout the day.
It’s the kind of weather that can make a couple worry but not Jessie and Jake. Both greeted us upon arrival with warmth and excitement. This day was going to be perfect regardless of rain. Their first look and portraits were held in the Camp Becket Library and I adore the photos we captured there. Their dog brought smiles throughout the bridal party and family pictures- thanks Russell, I really do appreciate it! The ceremony was moved to the brand new Dining Hall and this was an honor because Jessie and Jake were the very first event to be hosted in this building.
One of the most memorable parts of the day were the speeches given for Jessie and Jake and the outpouring of support and love. Your dad is right…it does matter! Needless to say, there were tears of happiness and many belly laughs by all (including me!)
Congratulations to Jessie and Jake – you make a truly special couple.
xoxo
