Our first stop was Rockefeller Center for some classic holiday sights. The iconic Rockefeller Christmas tree stood tall, overseeing the famous ice skating rink – a sight straight out of a New York postcard. For those with an adventurous spirit, don’t miss the chance to skate at The Rink.
We wanted a quick bite so, Ace’s Pizza in Rockefeller Center it was. Standing room only, the pace was fast, and the flavors were exceptional, making it the perfect pitstop for a busy day.
I had to let the girls marvel at the window displays at Saks Fifth Avenue. If you can, check this out in the evening for a dazzling light show.
Our next stop was The Edge in Hudson Yards. This outdoor sky deck, is the highest in the city. Imagine glass floors where you can see 100 stories down and angled glass walls that make you feel like you’re floating in the sky. The views are incredible. To add a touch of celebration, we raised a glass of champagne, sold right at the sky top bar.
Next we had to check out Rolf’s, the most Christmassy place in NYC. We definitely tried a seasonal cocktail (or two). Having reservation is necessary.
The girls and I wandered around the Union Square Holiday Market. This holiday pop up market features local retailers and restaurants. We shopped while we waited for our dinner reservations at Buvette. Buvette is part restaurant, part bar, part café. This was such a sweet way to end our day. We enjoyed dinner outside in the most adorable heated tent.
