The third time’s a charm! After rescheduling their wedding twice, 10/10/21 would finally be the day everyone came together to celebrate Melanie and Cody’s love. Their wedding was absolutely 10 out of 10 (get it?). You could just feel the chemistry between Melanie and Cody, and it made photographing them so natural and easy. Melanie and Cody’s favorite thing to do with each other is to travel the world. The list of countries they have been together is so long, I wouldn’t even begin to try listing them here. On those trips they would play Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac on repeat for each other. So to know that story and see Cody twirling Melanie around the dance floor to this song was extra special.
Tanglewood in Lenox, Massachusetts is a place Melanie has held near to her heart since she was young. For her grandparents, it was home away from home. Her late grandfather left such an impression on staff and students at Tanglewood, that right next to the Linde Center where they exchanged vows, is a garden in his name. Tanglewood is also the mid point for Cody and Melanie’s love story. Lenox is between New York City, where they live today, and Tufts University, where they met.
It is not often I spend so much time with clients prior to their wedding. Melanie, Cody, and I had phone conversations, we met and got to know each other at The Mount for their engagement session, and I even hosted a bridal boot camp for her bachelorette party in Stockbridge (turns out we have common interests: working out and being organized). I am so glad our paths crossed, I am so thankful you chose me to capture your day, and I cannot wait to see you both (and Bo) again for more Berkshire photo sessions!
