I was so excited to get to do an engagement shoot with Susan and Bryan! These two love the outdoors and and nature and were so much fun to work with.
Bryan and Susan met in college and started out together as freshmen at Umass Amherst Stockbridge School of Agriculture. But Bryan didn’t introduce himself until senior year. “It took him a few years to work up the courage, I guess,” Susan told me. Once they were introduced, Bryan swept Susan off her feet, and they connected with their common interest and love of being outdoors (which makes sense, since they both have careers now that keep them outside).
When they were dating, they would go for walks in the surrounding woods around campus, and they still do that sometimes. They also love visiting other farms, especially if they have a winery, and are usually outside in their garden or doing house projects when they are home.
Knowing these two and their love of the outdoors, I knew Berkshire Botanical Gardens would be the perfect spot for an engagement shoot!
We had a blast taking lovely pictures outdoors while these two told me about their hopes and dreams to have a farm of their own—they are currently prepping land to plant 800 apple trees! They brought along their adorable daughter Analise, who was born in March. She was the perfect baby and I love that she got in some of the pictures as well.
Bryan & Susan, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your family during this amazing time in your lives. I am so excited for you both and can’t wait for the wedding coming up soon!
