Edith Wharton’s estate, The Mount, is such and unforgettable venue to have your wedding. Wharton, most notable for her writing, was also a designer and gardener who built her home on these 113-acres in Lenox, MA.

Photographing a wedding at The Mount is our favorite. Wharton’s gardens are meticulous and filled with her favorite flowers and fountains. Each garden feels like a series of outdoor rooms – exactly how she envisioned them. The porticos and alcoves in the stone walls give our couple’s “first look” photos texture and dimension. It wouldn’t be a TMP wedding without stopping for some “after ceremony” photos on the gravel path of linden trees.The walled forecourt, featuring oversized windows and its famous green shutters is always a favorite spot for our TMP couples to take a few moments of alone time before heading to their reception on the terrace over looking the entire property. For tented weddings, a walk up the road to The Stables can be enjoyed with a cocktail in hand.
