AN EXTENDED FAMILY PORTRAIT WITH THE GOUDEYS

Lisa is my photo assistant. She is experienced, talented and has a degree in Photography, but most importantly, I love spending time with her! She was with me last year and we have a busy year ahead. In fact, there’s a road trip planned for us next week to capture a big, beautiful wedding in Long Island, NY and I’m so excited!

Lisa’s brother James and his wife Despina were in from Texas for the week, and her aunts, June and Ann, in from California. She and her parents Emilie and Rick saw it as a great opportunity to take an extended family portrait, and the lightly fallen snow that came the morning of our shoot was just a bonus. Playing in the snow was unique to the people currently living in Texas and California, so I decided to make it a big part of the shoot. Snow ball fights and snow angels – why not? What a great memory made and captured!

I have to say, my favorite picture is the one of Lisa in her white hat, blue coat and bright blue eyes. I sent her a preview of it after I took it and she wrote back “Is that really me?” Yes, that’s you and you’re gorgeous!

I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to provide authentic pictures like this, so that my clients (and assistants!) can see for themselves all the confidence and beauty I see in them.

I hope you go outside today and throw a snowball at someone you love too!
